The Post-Stampede Bluebonnet Tour
through the Hill Country

Saturday, April 5, 2008
(rain date is April 12)

No registration is necessary.

Costs
Cost of Tour: $7 per car
(you can give more later depending on how much you enjoy the experience)

Cost of catered dinner (optional): $12.95 per person
Catered all-you-can-eat dinner will be available only if at least 20 people RSVP.

Fee(s) should be be paid in the morning.

RSVP Only If You Are Coming
If you definitely plan to join, please RSVP the Tourmaster
so he can have a map ready for you.
(please also indicate if you want to have the catered dinner)

If you're maybe coming or not sure, please don't email him.
(He wants to know only if you're definitely coming.)

If you RSVP that you're definitely coming,
a map will be printed and ready for you at the meeting point.

If you RSVP but don't show up, the Tourmaster will not like you anymore.
(he has a long memory and holds grudges)

If you don't RSVP and just show up, you will not get a map.
(which will result in your getting lost in the hill country and never being found)

Meeting Location
If you RSVP that you're definitely coming, the Tourmaster
will send you directions to the super-secret meeting
location (in Austin) a few days before the event.
All you need to do is get ready to have a special time.
(see list below)

When to Arrive at the Meeting Location
Plan on arriving at the meeting location no later than 8:20 am.
(this doesn't mean that you should try to be there by 8:19,
8:20, or 8:21 which will surely guarantee that you are late)

Come 15-20 minutes earlier so you can pay the fee and
then have time to meet people, get a Starbucks coffee, and check out the cars.
(the Tourmaster will be there at 8 am or earlier)

Driver's meeting starts at precisely 8:30 am.
Group will depart as soon as the meeting is over.
We will leave immediately after the meeting so
that we can arrive at the Enchanted Rock State Park
before it reaches capacity and the gates are closed.

Want to RSVP?
Have a question?
Email the Tourmaster.

PREPARATION
Come to meeting location with a full tank of gas.
(if you don't, the Tourmaster will let the air out
of one of your tires so you won't forget to next time)

Every car is required to have one two-way radio which operates
on FRS channels. These radios are great for chatting during the trip.

Bring food and drink for the picnic lunch at the Enchanted Rock State Park.
There will be one stop before lunch break to purchase drinks and snacks.

Bring your camera.
Wear tennis or hiking shoes.
Bring something (like a blanket or chair) to sit on
the grass with during our picnic lunch.
Make sure to put on and bring sunscreen lotion and
consider putting on a hat.
