- If fixed expenses can be funded through corporate sponsorships, the Stampede may happen as scheduled with fewer than 25 cars.
[You can help get corporate sponsors so that the Stampede happens as scheduled!]
- Portions of the registration fee will be refunded if certain sponsorships are sold
- The registration fee does not include any profit for the Tourmaster.
Nor does it include the cost of 90+ hours spent by the Tourmaster to prepare the most challenging and scenic route (50);
make all arrangements with hotels, restaurants, corporate sponsors, and other businesses (10);
update the web site content and code for each year's Stampede (20); and
develop the route maps (10).
It also doesn't include the cost of equipment the Tourmaster purchases to make the Stampede safer and more enjoyable
(he tries to fund these through donations and sponsorships).
Neither does it include the potential cost of damage to the Tourmaster's car and injuries to himself from
colliding with any one or combination of hazards present during the Stampede including but not limited to deer,
cattle, buzzards, roadkill, farm vehicles, disabled vehicles, and a variety of other possible objects which could
obstruct the roads unexpectedly. The Tourmaster is the first to come face to face with these real and very likely hazards.
